What is an Endorsed Midwife?
An endorsed midwife is professional registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Having completed the necessary additional tertiary education to hold this advanced level of registration a private midwife is qualified to support women in pregnancy, birth and post birth support .
An endorsed midwife can order tests and ultrasounds, provide Medicare funded support and refer you to additional services, as required.
