Hi, I’m Cassie Stichel

I live on the Fleurieu Peninsula, in the beautiful coastal town of Middleton, with my husband, three children and two dogs.

I am the founder of South Coast Midwifery, a service offering continuity of care for women and their families through pregnancy, birthing and the post-birth journey.

I have had the privilege of supporting women through pregnancy, birth and postnatal care for over a decade. Working as a Midwife in both the public and private hospital sectors, and as an educator for women and health practitioners.

In 2015, I completed the prescribing and diagnostic course through Griffith University and became an Endorsed Midwife. Recently moving into a private practice I established South Coast Midwifery, providing women and their families with flexible continuity of care in their own community.

Empowering women in pregnancy and childbirth

My passion and the driving force behind South Coast Midwifery is providing women with options for their pregnancy and birth. I truly believe that women should not have a “one size fits all” model but to have the opportunity to choose their path.

When a woman has trust in her caregiver, she is empowered, believing in her body and ability to birth. I provide support and guidance to navigate the options of maternity care and to support informed decisions. Private midwifery care builds confidence and trust, creating a solid working relationship for the birthing and parenting journey.

Cassie’s Philosophy

I am passionate about women’s choice and believe in the power of the birthing woman. Having a known care provider builds confidence and trust, creating a solid working relationship to navigate the birthing journey. When a woman has trust in her caregiver, she is empowered, believing in her body and ability to birth. I am here to nurture, provide support and guidance for you and your family.
